THE RISK FACTORS FOR DEVELOPING DEMENTIA
The primary cause of many diseases that cause dementia, especially Alzheimer's disease which causes nearly 75% of dementia in the elderly is not known to scientists. Advanced age is the biggest risk factor for developing dementia. However a healthy lifestyle, with good food habits and exercise may help to prevent the disease. Keeping mentally, socially and physically active also decreases the risk. What is good for your heart is good for your brain!
